DigiRehab is a unique digital exercise tool for seniors. The personalized exercise programs help seniors become stronger and more self-reliant, while reducing the risk of falls. This may increase the chances of living well and independently at home, ideally for the rest of their lives.
DigiRehab has helped people be healthier at home in Denmark for over seven years. DigiRehab has since expanded to providing their technology in 12 countries and counting.
DigiRehab is a digital training tool that provides personalized exercise programs for seniors.
Daily caregivers are able to make an objective assessment of a participant’s physical ability and need for assistance. The screening includes measuring strength and physical function.
The senior exercise programs can be performed in a participant’s home with or without assistance from a caregiver. DigiRehab recommends participants exercise three times per week.
DigiRehab’s analysis function provides real-time insights into a participant’s functional level and abilities, which allows exercise plans to be modified appropriately and in a timely manner.
"The families of many elderly have told us that it is a joy to see elderly members of the family thrive and regain the ability to master their daily activities."
Director Ove Gerhard Jensen, Aalborg Municipality
"The staff really understands the value of DigiRehab. They find it meaningful to exercise with the elderly. It is a nice way to spend time together, and the positive effect for the elderly is noticeable to everybody."
Line Ballisager Juul, Home Care staff in Vejen Municipality
"The DigiRehab-exercise is a gift that we, as daily caregivers, are able to give participants. The elderly people become more self-reliant. At the same time, we have added more quality to our workday and our way of thinking about rehabilitation.”
Pernille Grant Rueskov, Daily Caregiver in Aalborg Municipality
The vision of DigiRehab is to ensure quality of life and self-reliance for as many elderly people possible. This vision has led DigiRehab to developing a digital exercise tool that is easily accessible and affordable for participants. Below is DigiRehab’s checklist for a good rehabilitation program.
Each exercise program should be tailored specifically to each participant and updated accordingly based on progress.
Exercises should be based on what function it helps improve and with the end-user in mind.
Participants should be able to easily understand how to perform exercises and why they are given.
Every rehabilitation program should have a built-in analysis tool to keep track of patient progress.
Participants should have confidence in their rehabilitation program and in their caregiver.
